The latest Met Office forecast for Norfolk predicts an unsettled and wet weekend with even the chance of hail falling.

A cloudy start on Friday will lead to slow-moving heavy showers and thunderstorms across the region.

It will remain unsettled on Saturday with rain and showers, although this day is likely to see the best of the weather over the weekend.

Temperatures could reach between 17C and 20C in some parts of the county.

Sunday will see further showers and the chance of thunder with highs between 13C and 17C.

By Monday, there could be some lingering showers arriving by lunchtime and temperatures will fall to between 11C and 15C.

While the weather may not be looking the best, it will be much warmer than for Queen Elizabeth II’s coronation in 1953, which had average temperatures of 11.8C.
