Norwich City v Preston: Team news and starting line-ups

Norwich City celebrated a 2-1 win over Bristol City, with midfielder Rowe making a return from injury. Adam Idah replaced Liam Gibbs up front and is the only other change David Wagner made to the team. However, Grant Hanley is in the latter stages of another injury setback and will be in training next week but will miss out on the upcoming match. Jacob Sorensen, Josh Sargent, and Ben Gibson also remain on the sidelines, with expectations that they will train before the December 23 meeting with Huddersfield Town. Additionally, Hwang Ui-jo will be unavailable until late December or early January due to a hamstring injury sustained in the previous week’s match against Watford at Vicarage Road.

Former Norwich loan striker Ched Evans started up front for the visitors, Preston North End. The team was without Milutin Osmajic, and fellow ex-Canary Robbie Brady was on the bench. Norwich City’s starting lineup included Gunn as the goalkeeper, along with Stacey, Duffy, McLean as captain, Giannoulis, Nunez, Sara, Fassnacht, Barnes, Hernandez, and Idah. The substitutes were Long as the goalkeeper, Fisher, McCallum, Batth, Gibbs, Forshaw, Sainz, Rowe, and Placheta. On the other hand, Preston North End’s starting lineup included Woodman as the goalkeeper, Whiteman, Lindsay, Browne as captain, Evans, McCann, Storey, Hughes, Millar, Whatmough, and Potts. The substitutes were Cirnell as the goalkeeper, Cunningham, Best, Brady, Ledson, Holmes, Forkjaer, Woodburn, and Keane.

Overall, Rowe made a successful return from injury in the match against Bristol City, with Adam Idah replacing Liam Gibbs. However, several key players will miss the upcoming matches due to various injuries, including Hanley, Sorensen, Sargent, Gibson, and Hwang Ui-jo. Despite the setbacks, Norwich City and Preston North End put up strong lineups for the match, with former Norwich loan striker Ched Evans starting for the visitors.
