Bigger venue for Word on the Wash weekend in Lynn
The annual free two-day Christian event, Word on the Wash, happening in September has moved to a bigger venue at King’s Lynn Academy with a programme of hope for the whole family.
The annual Word on the Wash event was launched in 2015 by Terrington St Clement church. The family event, which is run in partnership with Keswick Ministries and Scripture Union, has proved so popular that now three years later it has moved to a new venue, King’s Lynn Academy, with more parking and seating.
The event is a great opportunity for Christians in West Norfolk and beyond to come together in unity for faithful and relevant bible teaching, worship and encouragement. It is free of charge, with donations welcomed.
This year Word on the Wash will take place on the evening of Friday, September 14 to Saturday, September 15, 10am – 6pm. There is programme for children and youth, which runs concurrent to all the main sessions, planned, organised and led by Scripture Union.
This year the theme is ‘Living with Hope in a Changing World’ with Richard Underwood from the Fellowship of Independent Evangelical Churches and Ray Evans from Grace Community Church in Bedford.
In addition to the main sessions afternoon seminars will focus on key issues for Christians in today’s world including:
-
Living as a Christian in a Secular World -
The Transgender Revolution -
Reaching Young Families: The Unacceptable Gap in the Body of Christ
There will also be a bookstall and a food deal for Saturday’s lunch.
