Children’s Easter holiday club in Briston
A children’s Easter holiday bible club will take place in Briston in the run up to Easter, and there is no charge to take part in the fun.
The event is open to all children aged 5 to 11 and will take place on Monday 3 April, from 1.00 pm to 4.00 pm. There will be stories, songs, crafts, and games, with the overall theme of explaining the real meaning of Easter.
Organiser Matthew Pickhaver said “We had a great time when twelve children took part in our tenth Holiday Bible Club here in Briston during February half-term. This session was based on Jesus’s parables of the Sower and the Good Samaritan. The children made collages of the four kinds of soil and planted cress seeds on decorated paper plates. Songs sung included ‘Cross over the road’ and the final quiz involved a crazy twist on skittles!”
Around 50 different children have taken part in the previous holiday clubs with many returning multiple times. Some messages received from parents are:
‘Thank you for today, the children had a lovely time and would love to come again!’
‘Children enjoy coming and get a lot out of it. We’re very lucky you take time to put it all on, thank you!’
‘Thank you for the Bible Club. We really appreciate everything you did, and it was lovely to see them so excited to tell us all about it!’ “
The afternoon will be led by three qualified and experienced schoolteachers, all with up-to-date DBS checks. Parents are welcome either to stay for the session or to drop the children off and pick them up at the end.
The event is completely free but please book places for your children by contacting Matthew on 07910 383682 or at [email protected] .
The holiday club will take place at The Copeman Centre, Hall Street, Briston, NR24 2LG.
