Hayden Moon, a 51-year-old children’s entertainer, has hosted the Groove Lights display in Grove Way, Newton Flotman for the past three years. The display will run every night until New Year’s Day and has been growing every year, now featuring 25,000 bulbs. This year, the display will be different, with each hour-long show consisting of Christmas classics and pop hits synchronized to songs including Aqua’s Barbie Girl, as well as favorites from Moana and Frozen.
Mr. Moon is focused on providing something nice for the community, especially during hard times for many families. He loves seeing the children having an amazing time and wants to spread cheer in the community. The display includes a tunnel of lights, interactive characters, selfie opportunities, and an LED screen. This year, all donations will be going to the local social club in the village.
The Groove Lights display will start on December 1st and run until January 1st. Weekday showings will be from 6pm to 8pm, and weekend showings will be from 5pm to 8pm. The showings will start on the hour and consist of half an hour of Christmas songs followed by half an hour of pop songs. The Grove Lights house is located in Grove Way, Newton Flotman, NR15 1QE, with free parking available at the nearby village hall.
