Norwich: Arson in Ladybelt Country Park, East Carleton
The incident saw a noticeboard and a portable toilet set alight by vandals in Ladybelt Country Park, East Carleton.
The toilet was completely destroyed during the attack and the noticeboard was left severely damaged.
Last month’s incident at the park, which was once part of the Ketteringham Hall estate, was quickly reported to the police by East Carleton and Ketteringham Parish Council.

“It is surprising because this area has an incredibly low crime rate,” said Ian Spratt, South Norfolk district councillor for the Mulbarton and Stoke Holy Cross ward.
“There was a little bit of graffiti in the park last year.

“But that was quickly cleaned up.
“As far as I’m aware, there has been no serious crime wave and an incident like this is very unusual.”
Data from Norfolk police shows that, between January and June of this year, there have been just four incidents of criminal damage and arson in the Mulbarton and East Carleton area.
