Bikes stolen from UEA and NUA accommodation in Norwich

Three bikes were taken from Benedict’s Gate student accommodation on September 18 and another on September 20. 

The private accommodation houses students attending the University of East Anglia and Norwich University of the Arts and includes a gated storage unit for bikes.

She said: “We’re quite shaken up by it and there’s a high possibility that we’re never going to get the bike back.

“There’s nothing we can do.”

The theft was reported to the police but the 19-year-old was advised that the bike had most likely already been sold. 

It is the second reported theft in St Benedicts Street after a bike was stolen from Benedict’s restaurant on September 13. 

Norfolk Constabulary said the incident is still under investigation and currently has not been linked with any other thefts in the area.
