“As I went into the garden I heard this massive bang and went back round to the front of the house.
“I was shocked to see a car had crashed into the parked silver car, the neighbour’s wall and a blue car which I don’t think the family has had long.
“Lots of people rushed out to see what had happened – maybe 20 – while my neighbours called the police.”
A police spokeswoman said: “Police were called to a collision involving a car, a house and three parked vehicles in Allens Lane, Sprowston just before 6pm on Friday September 8.
“A man in his 40s was arrested on suspicion of driving with excess alcohol.
“He was taken to Aylsham Police Investigation Centre for questioning and was subsequently released on bail.”
The neighbour added: “It looked like the person driving had gone too quickly over the speed bump, hit the kerb and gone straight into the front garden.
“It’s usually pretty quiet in our area so it was a surprise to see all the commotion.
“Honestly it’s lucky no one was in the garden or someone could’ve been really hurt, or worse.”
No one at the site of the incident was injured.
