Joe Creed sentenced for Norwich theft spree involving Lego

Joe Creed, of Godric Place, appeared in court after pleading guilty to five counts of theft from a shop and one attempt of theft.

The raids occurred between August 11 and September 3 and saw Creed enter different supermarkets across the city.

In total, he stole more than £800 worth of goods.

On one occasion, he entered a store in Brazen Gate and stole a number of Lego toys worth £248.62. Alcohol was also stolen.

Creed was arrested on Tuesday (September 5) by officers in Hall Road for theft and for recall to prison.

He was later charged with six offences and remanded into custody. 

He appeared at Norwich Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday (September 6) and received a sentence of 20 weeks in prison and was ordered to pay £154 in compensation.
