Norwich City: Abu Kamara nets first career goal at Portsmouth
The 20-year-old Kamara, who joined Pompey on a season long loan, netted at Fratton Park and later served up an assist to cap a memorable comeback after Posh had taken an early lead.
City inserted a recall option in Kamara’s south-coast move, but the youngster – who made his senior Norwich debut towards the end of last season – is already making his mark.
“It was my first professional goal, so when the ball went in the back of the net, it was a dream come true,” he told Portsmouth’s official site. “I’ve been waiting for this moment and I was just happy that it came – an assist and the three points were the cherry on top.
“I feel like that’s a real confidence booster for me and hopefully I can get some more goals in the league and we can keep winning.

“There was a bit of combination play out on the right and I just thought: ‘Let me get into the area around the back post.’
“When the ball dropped I just thought that this was my chance and I was able to put it in the back of the net.
“The fans were going crazy and I dropped to my knee and pointed to the sky, then Christian Saydee tumbled over me.
“It was pretty funny, but I’m grateful for that moment and it’s something I’ll remember for the rest of my life.
“There have been ups and downs so far, but that’s normal and I’m enjoying it here. Everyone’s made me welcome.”
