Norfolk weather forecast: Sunny conditions to stay this week

It comes after the mercury topped 31C in Marham on Sunday, making it the hottest day of the year so far, with further sun and highs of 27C predicted throughout the week.

But a spokesman from the Met Office has said the region can expect a reduction in daily temperatures as the week goes on, with highs in the low twenties.

A storm that will hit much of Cambridgeshire and Lincolnshire is forecast to miss Norfolk but there may be some showers in the county.

The spokesman added: “There will be a bit of a resurgence in temperature values over the weekend as another plume of warmer air is drawn up from the continent.

“With humid air, there is always the chance of a shower, some of which can be heavy and thundery, but the emphasis for showers is shifting to the west of England so the region should expect largely clear and bright conditions with plenty of sunshine.”
