Norwich City: Swansea City head coach Michael Duff preview

The Swans recorded an impressive 3-0 win over Millwall in South East London on Saturday, adding to a win over Sheffield Wednesday by the same scoreline to relieve pressure on the under-fire Duff.

He insisted following that Lions thrashing there was more to come from his side, however, saying: “It’s still a long, long way to where we want to get it to, but there’s little bits.

“But the reaction (to a 2-0 loss to local rivals Cardiff) from everyone has been really good. Probably should have been three clean sheets and probably should have been nine points. But the players have stuck together during all of it.”

Swansea face David Wagner’s men with multiple injury problems, however, as Duff outlined.

“(Jerry) Yates had to go off to today,” he continued. “(Kristian) Pedersen broke down in the week. Hopefully Yates is just two dead legs. Not sure Kristian will be ready, because he felt his groin in training.

“But we said before the (Millwall) game that all the injuries we were having were opportunities. I thought Bashir (Humphreys) came in and did really well today, and that’s what we need.

“Yatesy was good. His movement for the penalty was excellent. That’s what we need. Hopefully, fingers crossed, there weren’t be too many because we are starting to get a little bit thin on ground.

“That’s cramp. That’s what I’ve been told. That’s what he’s saying. Hopefully it’s nothing more than that. It’s not a muscle pull or anything.

“I thought again that Charlie (Patino) was good, and I thought the subs came on and impacted the game really well. Obviously Myko (Kukharevych) coming on and getting his first goal, that will be a lot of pressure off his shoulders now.”
