Summer Word and Worship at Sheringham church
Locals and holidaymakers in Sheringham are warmly invited to come along to Lighthouse Community Church later in August for a friendly week of informal worship and encouragement. Tony Rothe reports.
The “Word and Worship” sessions will run from 9.45am to 10.30am each morning from Tuesday August 23 to Friday August 26. Anyone is very welcome to pop in during that time to enjoy worship led by Connor Winston, pictured below, and hear Ian Savory, pictured above, share his thoughts on Paul’s inspiring message in chapter 1 of the book of Colossians.
Lighthouse Café will be open when the sessions end, so coffees, teas, cakes, and even bacon rolls will be available for those who wish to stay a little longer and chat for a while.
“This follows on from our successful Kapel meetings which have been running every Tuesday morning” explained senior leader Ian Savory. “It provides an opportunity to gather together for a short while in a fairly informal setting to worship God and perhaps hear what He has to say. Anyone is welcome to join us, whether you are a Lighthouse regular or on holiday or just want to find out what goes on here.”
These meetings will conclude a forty day “fast and pray” period when many Lighthouse folk have been praying daily to hear what God wants for the church. “We feel sure that God has exciting plans for our town and our nation, and we need to see how He wants Lighthouse to fit into those plans” said Ian.
