Sheringham Methodists’ harvest flower festival
St Andrews Methodist Church are combining their annual flower festival with their harvest festival weekend this year, and all are warmly invited to come along. Tony Rothe reports.
The Methodists’ renowned flower festivals were suspended during the pandemic, but will, this year, resume on Saturday and Sunday 1 and 2 October, to coincide with the church’s Harvest Festival. Although reduced a little in scale, the flower displays will have a harvest theme.
Along with flower arrangements, there will be opportunity to purchase gifts, greetings cards, books and Traidcraft goods. Each day, light refreshments will be served until 4pm. The festival will be open from 10am to 4.30pm on the Saturday, and from 12 noon to 4.30pm on the Sunday.
The Harvest thanksgiving service will take place at 10.30am on the Sunday, with Harvest Praise at 5pm that evening.
Within the displays, there will be a place for gifts of tinned goods to be received for the North Norfolk Foodbank. Any financial proceeds will go to church funds with a donation to charity.
St Andrew’s Methodist Church is on Cromer Road, Sheringham, NR26 8SA.
