The Surrey Kitchen and Bar in Norwich to transform into bar
Previously The Surrey Tavern from 1851 until 2016, the business changed into The Surrey Kitchen and Bar in 2018 before reopening at the beginning of June.
Currently running as a café while the owners wait for an alcohol licence, The Surrey will be closed from September 25 for renovation until October 2, reopening with a full bar.

“It has a communal feel of people who would come in after work. We feel we have got a lot of support.”

There will be fresh, handmade pasta and roasts in the future and “a lot of carbs and fried stuff, with a good amount of healthy”.
The new menu will be available for breakfast and lunch, with bar snacks on offer in the evening.
