Livewire1350, a student radio station from the Norwich campus, has been releasing a charity song each year since 1990, with the aim of raising money for a good cause. This year, the chosen charity is Nourishing Norfolk, and the song, “Spread the Joy,” was created in collaboration with Higher Common Room Records, UEA’s Music Production Society, local singer-songwriter Nik Richard, and producer Andre Weber. George Cooke, Livewire’s station manager, expressed that this year’s Christmas project is more ambitious than before and is aimed at spreading festive joy and supporting the local community.
