Old Catton nurse prepares to compete in Ms GB Classic finals
Angela Taylor, 48, from Old Catton, has been preparing for the October finals since she was selected in February of this year.
The mum-of-three is a registered nurse and has taken well to the life of a beauty pageant contestant.

She has attended a masterclass in Chesterfield where she was able to meet other contestants as well as learn interview techniques and the all-important stage walk.
She said: “To prepare I have been raising money for my chosen charities, Cancer Research UK and Alex’s Wish, as well as competing in the Race For Life.”
Angela has also held jumble sales, sold merchandise, and is taking park in the Norwich Light Walk.

But she said there are also many misconceptions in the beauty pageant world.
“People think they purely represent young physical beauty.
“But they represent women in business, professional women who have ambition to give back to their community – in both charity work and bringing acceptance for all women irrespective of age, size, body shape or colour.
“It’s more about what you bring to the table and how you can make a difference.”
Angela is also ready to bring her A game and isn’t feeling any nerves.
She said: “I can only bring myself; I am most looking forward to spending it with inspirational woman all cheering for each other.”
The Mrs GB finals take place on October 19 and 20 at the Athena in Leicester.
Angela is campaigning for readers to donate to her chosen charities Cancer Research UK and Alex’s Wish in order to help her reach her goals.
