Carrow Road Trees Felled

Norwich City Football Club have felled at least 14 trees on land between Canary Way and Carrow Road with no obvious reason. This has upset and angered many residents living in the area and they have contacted local Labour Party Activist, Jane Overhill to complain and are asking her to look into why this has happened.

Jane said “I know that local residents have been asking Norwich City Council to put tree preservation orders on these trees for some years but the Council have always declined saying the trees were not under threat. Now all of a sudden Norwich City Football Club have taken the decision to fell all of them for no obvious reason. There are no planning applications for redevelopment as far as I know.

Jane added “Residents have a right to be angry about the loss of these trees and the harm that has been caused to wildlife. I love living near to the football ground but they need to remember that they are a part of our community and this is not the way to obtain or maintain harmony”.

Jane has written to Norwich City Football club asking for an explanation as to why they have felled these trees.

You definitely know the way to bring an issue to gentle and make it important. Extra people need to read this and understand this aspect of the story.
