Two men plead guilty over Norwich baby formula thefts
Two men, Mircea Memet and Nicu Tudorache, were charged with multiple counts of theft from a shop, obstructing police, driving without insurance, making off without making payment and driving a vehicle otherwise than in accordance with a licence. The charges stemmed from a November 23 incident in which police stopped a Vauxhall Vectra in Drayton Road and found several stolen items inside the car. Memet, 35, of Thistlemoore Road in Peterborough, pleaded guilty in Norwich Magistrates’ Court and was released on bail ahead of his next court appearance on January 5. Tudorache, 35, of no fixed address, also pleaded guilty and received a community order of 60 hours unpaid work, as well as being ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £114 and compensation of £50.
