Boy arrested after City of Norwich School stabbing

Police were called to the City of Norwich School in Eaton Road on Thursday afternoon after reports of a stabbing. The incident involved a boy being stabbed with a tail comb. Authorities arrived promptly, accompanied by three crews from the East of England Ambulance Service and the East Anglian Air Ambulance. The injured boy was swiftly transported to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital for treatment.

In response to the incident, a boy was arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and taken to Wymondham Police Station for questioning. However, he has since been released on bail and is set to report back to authorities on January 6, 2024. With the suspect out on bail, investigations into the incident will continue to determine the full circumstances surrounding the stabbing.

Fortunately, the victim’s injuries are not considered serious and he is expected to be released from the hospital later in the evening following treatment. While the specifics of the incident remain unclear, Superintendent Wes Hornigold assures the public that the authorities will thoroughly investigate the matter. This case highlights the importance of maintaining a safe and secure environment within schools to prevent such incidents from occurring and to ensure the well-being of students.
