Mountain Warehouse Norwich building is up for sale
The Haymarket store that was formerly occupied by a fashion retailer and later taken over by Mountain Warehouse in October is now back on the market for £4.18m. After standing vacant for two years, the building has undergone extensive renovations and is now being managed by agent Francis Darrah in its sale. Despite being back on the market, Mountain Warehouse is set to remain in the building for the next ten years according to its lease agreement, with the current rent set at £334,000 per year.
The sale of the building was always the plan for the current owners, who intended to sell once a new tenant was in place. Francis Darrah, the agent handling the sale, praised the high-quality fitout done by Mountain Warehouse and emphasized that the building has been transformed from a “blot” into a prime piece of real estate. Although a buyer has not yet been confirmed, there has been “strong interest” in the property, and Darrah anticipates a sale happening “sooner rather than later.”
