Jean Neale turns 100 in Norfolk care home Beauchamp House
Georgina Mary Neale, known as Jean, recently celebrated her 100th birthday with a party at Beauchamp House in Chedgrave, near Loddon. Her loved ones and a singer entertained her and the atmosphere was lively. Mrs. Neale’s three daughters, Gloria, Lorna, and Glenda, as well as her grandson, were all present at the celebration. The family is extremely proud of Jean and consider her to be an inspiration due to her strength, caring nature, and fun-loving personality. They believed that it was important to honor her with a big party at the care home in recognition of her remarkable life and personality.
Mrs. Neale attributes her long life to living for her family, as nothing matters more to her than her loved ones. She has spent most of her life in Costessey until she recently moved into Beauchamp House. Her favorite meal is fish and chips, which she loves so much that she is jokingly referred to as ‘Chips’ by her family. She started working at the age of 14 at Ceilidhs Chocolate Factory, where she held the box of chocolates for the display photos.
Jean has been widowed twice – first married to George Moon at 18 and then remarried at 79 to Donald Neale. Beauchamp House, where she currently resides, offers short-term and full-time care and support for individuals, including specialized care for those with dementia. The party was a joyful celebration of Jean’s life and her milestone birthday. Her family and loved ones were happy to recognize her longevity and the positive impact she has had on their lives.
