Sunderland injury update ahead of Norwich City game

Sunderland midfielder Bradley Dack has returned to full training after missing the midweek match against Leicester City with a hamstring injury. Manager Tony Mowbray confirmed that Dack’s injury is not serious and that he just needs time to get back up to speed after being out for six weeks. Dack trained fully with the team and Mowbray expects him to be ready to play soon. Another midfielder, Adil Aouchiche, is expected to be out for one to two weeks with a minor injury.

In addition to Dack and Aouchiche, several other players are currently sidelined with injuries. Aji Alese, Corry Evans, Timothée Pembélé, and Jay Matete are all recovering from their respective injuries. However, Mowbray remains hopeful that these players will return soon and contribute to the team’s performance. Dennis, who played 30 minutes against Leicester, has been praised by Mowbray for his impact on the team’s balance and his natural left foot.

Despite the injury setbacks, Mowbray remains positive and acknowledges that the team has good players who are on their way back to full fitness. He hopes that the return of these players will provide a boost to the squad. With Dack returning to full training, Mowbray anticipates having the same group of players available for selection in the upcoming match. The manager emphasizes the importance of getting Dack fully fit and ready to play after his extended time on the sidelines.

Overall, while Sunderland has been dealing with injuries to key players, there is optimism that the squad will soon be back to full strength. The return of Dack and the anticipated recoveries of other injured players should provide a much-needed boost to the team’s performance. Mowbray remains hopeful that in the near future, he won’t have to constantly discuss and lament the team’s injury situation.
