Leon Bustin of The Lean Machines runs length of UK for Reorg
Leon Bustin, who boasts over 400,000 subscribers on Youtube as part of The Lean Machines alongside John Chapman, started his epic effort from John O’Groats in Scotland.
The 36-year-old, from Costessey, departed at 6am on Monday and aims to complete the gruelling 840-mile challenge at Land’s End in Cornwall on Sunday, August 6.

The fitness fanatic will be running 62 miles (100km) a day – the equivalent of just under two and a half marathons – to raise money for Reorg, a charity that aims to improve the well-being of military and emergency service personnel through sport and fitness.
Speaking while on his 55th kilometre of the second day, Leon said: “This is well beyond my comfort zone.

“Previously I’ve done a couple of 250km ultra-marathons over five days which averages out as 50km a day – but before this, I had never run more than 75km in one go.”
Leon said he really admires Reorg’s work, as he targets raising £20,000 for the charity, as training is always about mental and physical health for him.

His wife, Carly, has been surprised at just how relaxed her husband has been, as he tore a ligament in his knee at the start of the year – saying that when speaking on video calls “he looks like he’s just going on a brief jog”.
The ultra-run is being self-funded by Leon, costing around £15,000, but is also providing a fond farewell to his home country.
Carly added: “We are actually moving to Costa Rica at the end of the year so he wanted to do something as a way to say goodbye to England.”
Leon has already raised over £4,000 at Justgiving.com and is charting his progress on Instagram @leonbusty.
