Since its establishment in 2001, the SOS Bus has provided a safe space for individuals on Prince of Wales Road, particularly following tragic incidents along the River Wensum. The service, which currently operates with 38 volunteers, plays a vital role in the community, with plans to recruit more volunteers to ensure continuous coverage.

The SOS Bus operates with a team of volunteers fulfilling various roles, including a shift coordinator, support staff, a support vehicle driver, a contracted paramedic, emergency first responder, and security guard.
