Norwich City: Sargent, Hanley and Hwang fitness updates

Last week, Angus Gunn and Jon Rowe were able to play in the game against Bristol City without any issues after being sidelined due to a muscular problem and a heel injury, respectively. Grant Hanley is expected to return to full training next week, with Ben Gibson, Jacob Sorensen, and Josh Sargent also on track to be available by the time Huddersfield visit Carrow Road on December 23. Additionally, Hwang Ui-Jo, who had damaged his hamstring in the defeat to Watford, is expected to be back around Christmas, with further clarification on his condition expected in the next 10 days.

Daniel Farke, the Norwich head coach, mentioned that Hanley will not be able to play in the Premier League Cup development game at Wolves next Monday. He also expects to have the same group of players available for the upcoming game against Preston as they had in the previous match against Bristol City. Dimi Giannoulis is fine after sustaining a suspected ankle injury, and it is believed that the returns of Gunn and Rowe will be beneficial to the team, as they have trained well and are ready to help the team in the upcoming three-game week.

Overall, the injury update for Norwich City is largely positive, with key players returning to full training and expected to be available for upcoming matches. The return of players such as Gunn, Rowe, and potentially Ui-Jo will provide a boost to the team as they enter a busy period of fixtures. With the team largely unscathed from the previous game, they look to be in good shape for the upcoming matches and are expected to have a full squad available in the near future, providing a welcome boost to their prospects for the remainder of the season.
