Much needed dog field with agility obstacles proposed in Shotesham
A dog field with agility obstacles and a secure fence has been proposed for a horse grazing field in a Norfolk village.
The proposal is for an acre of land in Grub Street, Shotesham, which would be changed into public use as a dog park.
It currently forms part of an equestrian centre with a proposal to “provide a secure area where owners can safely exercise and train their dogs off the lead”.
It would also include features such as secure perimeter fencing, hardstanding for parking, waste bins with bags supplied, and water bowls.
The proposal also mentions dog-friendly obstacles for agility and an owner’s bench.
The land’s opening hours would be 8am to 5.30pm on Monday to Friday and 8:30am to 5:30pm at weekends.
Bookings and payments would be made via an automated cloud system.
The area, to be called Dog Liberty Field, is located 25 minutes southeast of Norwich.
