Norwich Cathedral’s Master of Music, Ashley Grote, lined up with the 39,000 other people to run the 2017 London Marathon on Sunday and raised an incredible £16k this year.
Ashley ran in aid of Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity for the third year in succession, motivated by the ongoing treatment his daughter Emily is receiving at the hospital for treatment of a rare brain tumour.
Ashley has smashed his target of raising over £50k over three years of marathons for Great Ormond Street, thanks to the support of so many people.
