Julian gets on his bike to raise funds for YMCA Norfolk
Norfolk Christian Aid Co-ordinator and business and life coach Julian Bryant is set to cycle 100 miles as part of the Tour de Norfolk bike ride to raise money for YMCA Norfolk’s mental health work in local schools and celebrate losing six stones over the past seven months.
Julian said: “Young people in our schools often face a lot of pressure and find school life challenging. Many of you will know this through personal knowledge and you will also know how close this is to our hearts.
“I looked at the different services and was shocked at poorly resourced many of them are. There could be so much more long term support offered for children at school with mental health problems. The YMCA, however, provides training to teachers, volunteers, peer mentors and also provides counselling, support and so much more.
“After losing six stones and getting fitter over the last seven months I feel able to do a personal challenge to make a difference. On September 17 I am going to cycle 100 miles and hope you will sponsor me.”
