Varied inter faith events are set for Norwich

Norwich inter faith events relating to climate, education and media have been held or are coming up soon, reports David Griffith, chair of the Norwich Inter Faith Forum.

A first meeting of the Interfaith Climate group met on Zoom on August 31, following a first meeting in-person (pictured above). It is supported by Bishop of Norwich Graham Usher and the Diocese of Norwich said in its prayer diary: “We are discovering the strength of our collective voice in addressing the issues that confront us about the environment. We wish to explore, share and publicise beliefs and values which all human beings have in common about our response to and responsibility for living successfully and sustainably in one world. We are concerned that faith communities are perceived positively in the wider community and included in their policies, plans, and campaigns.”

On September 5, a meeting convened by the Religion Media Centre met at the Quaker Meeting House in Norwich to discuss arrangements for a Creating Connections event between faith groups and the media in Norwich in November (more details to be announced shortly).

Miles Neville, Director Religion, Philosophy & Ethics at Framingham Earl High School will speak at the next Zoom meeting of the Norwich Inter Faith Forum on September 26 on: Learning about Religions in Secondary School as a preparation for adult life. .
