Third YMCA charity shop reopens in Norwich
The YMCA charity shop in Anglia Square, Norwich has found a new home after their previous premises suffered a devastating flood, resulting in stock loss and the condemnation of the building. The decision to move to a new unit once owned by PMT was made after the closure of their previous shop. The team is excited for this new beginning and eagerly awaits the return of their valued customers. This new shop becomes the third city centre store to open, joining shops in Castle Quarter and on St Stephens Street. The store opening was well attended, with shoppers excited to find the best deals, and one store volunteer expressed gratitude for the community’s support. The profits from this store impact the work of YMCA Norfolk by providing accommodation, mental health support, and investing in the future of young people. The store manager stressed the importance of the shop in supporting homeless young people and helping them rebuild their lives. The new store is open seven days a week, welcoming customers from Monday to Saturday, 9 am to 5:30 pm, and on Sundays from 10 am to 4 pm. The YMCA Anglia Square Charity Shop invites the local community to join them in this exciting new chapter, where every purchase contributes to a brighter future for young lives in Norfolk.
