The Methodist Church’s Norwich Circuit has celebrated the commissioning, 60 years ago, of three local preachers with 180 years of service between them.
During the special service at Hethersett Methodist Church at the beginning of October, Brenda Kelsey, Bill Allen and Dennis Coleman were presented with long service certificates by the circuit superintendent, Rev Catherine Hutton.
During the service Brenda, Bill and Dennis spoke about their early experiences of preaching, of travelling across the circuit whatever the weather, by foot, bicycle, bus or car (if they were really fortunate) and of memories of the first services they conducted.
