Norwich Foodbank invites you to a faith breakfast

The Norwich Foodbank, a nonprofit organization in Norwich, England, is inviting faith leaders to a networking breakfast event on Wednesday, March 26, from 8:00 am to 9:15 am. This event is part of a series of activities designed to build stronger connections with religious communities and local leaders who are addressing poverty in the city. The gathering aims to foster open dialogue about the challenges of food and financial insecurity and to explore potential solutions to help those experiencing long-term or short-term poverty.
Katherine Gilmartin, the organizer of the event, emphasized the importance of fostering dialogue and understanding the root causes of poverty. She highlighted that faith leaders play a crucial role in helping individuals and communities navigate food insecurity and financial instability. She also mentioned that the increases in food and financial challenges in the city over the past decade have led to a need for more systemic changes and ongoing support from various stakeholders.
The event will take place at Eaton Park Community Centre. After the initial networking session, there will be a follow-up meeting on Wednesday, April 30. This series of events is meant to be a collaborative effort to address the complexities of poverty and improve the lives of those affected by it.
To RSVP for the event, please visit the Norwich Foodbank website or contact Katherine directly at [email protected]. The deadline for participation is January 31.
