“It’s a great way to save money and enjoy our events at the most affordable price” – discounted tickets are available for EACH’s Norwich Bubble Rush and Piglet, Junior Hog, as well as flagship pier-to-pier walks in Norfolk and Suffolk

Family Fun for a Cause: EACH’s Discounted Fundraising Events for 2025

East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH) is inviting families to secure early-bird discounted tickets for four of their popular fundraising events scheduled for 2025. These community-building events—the Norwich Bubble Rush, Piglet Junior Hog, and the pier-to-pier walks in Norfolk and Suffolk—not only provide unforgettable family experiences but also support EACH’s crucial work with children and families in need. “These occasions bring our community together in the most joyful and uplifting way,” explains Ellie Nevard, EACH’s Senior Events Fundraiser. The organization hopes these discounted rates will make participation more accessible for families while generating vital funds for their hospice services.

The frothy fun begins with the Norwich Bubble Rush at the Norfolk Showground on May 17th, featuring a family-friendly 2.5km course with four bubble stations that participants can complete once or twice. Last year’s event raised an impressive £54,000, demonstrating how enjoyable fundraising can be when foam is involved! The course welcomes all ages and abilities—you can run, walk, jog, dance, or toddle through the bubbles, and both pushchairs and wheelchairs are accommodated. Super early bird tickets are priced at just £14 for adults, £6 for children aged 4-15, and £3 for little ones under four. This accessible pricing structure makes it possible for entire families to participate without breaking the bank, while contributing to a meaningful cause.

For those seeking a more challenging adventure, EACH offers two pier-to-pier walks. The Norfolk edition on June 7th invites participants to tackle an ambitious 32-mile journey from Cromer Pier to Great Yarmouth Pier along the picturesque Norfolk Coastal Path. This year’s event saw 49 determined walkers raise nearly £40,000. While participants must be at least 16 years old (with 16-17 year-olds accompanied by an adult) and complete the walk within 12 hours, the sense of accomplishment and community spirit makes the challenge worthwhile. Super early bird tickets are £30, or £40 with return transportation to Cromer, representing significant savings for those who commit early. Later in the year, the Suffolk version takes place on September 12th, featuring a more manageable but equally scenic 16-mile walk from Lowestoft to Southwold. This year’s event attracted over 160 participants and raised £24,000, with early bird tickets now available from £25 (or £35 including return transportation).

For families who enjoy getting muddy together, the Piglet Junior Hog on July 12th at Wantisden Hall near Woodbridge offers an exhilarating obstacle course experience. The four-kilometer adventure includes crawling through tunnels, splashing in muddy water, and climbing over hay bales—perfect for creating lasting family memories while supporting a wonderful cause. Although the super early bird window has closed for this event, early bird tickets are still available at £22 for adults and £16 for children aged 8-15. This summer’s muddy adventure attracted over 1,430 participants and raised more than £47,500, highlighting how combining physical challenges with family fun can generate significant support for children’s hospice care.

Time is of the essence for those looking to secure the best possible rates, as the super early bird ticket window for the Bubble Rush and both Pier 2 Pier events closes at midnight on New Year’s Eve. Early bird ticket sales for all four events, including The Piglet Junior Hog, will then remain available until January 31st. These tiered pricing structures reward advance planning while helping EACH organize their resources effectively. Ellie Nevard emphasizes that while ticket prices cover event costs, it’s participants’ additional fundraising efforts that truly make a difference to the charity’s work. EACH offers various resources and support for fundraisers, including ideas, tips, and guidance for those looking to maximize their contribution.

Beyond participation, EACH warmly welcomes volunteers to help make these events successful. “Whether it’s running stalls, marshalling or generally helping create a fun, welcoming experience, our volunteers are absolutely vital to what we do,” Ellie notes. This community involvement highlights how these fundraising events are about more than just the activities themselves—they’re about bringing people together to support families facing the most challenging circumstances. Through participating, fundraising, or volunteering, community members can directly contribute to EACH’s vital work with children who have life-threatening conditions and their families across East Anglia. For more information about any of these events, fundraising support, or volunteering opportunities, interested individuals can contact EACH directly at [email protected], where the team stands ready to help everyone make the most of these meaningful community events.
