West Norfolk church starts counting its blessings
St Faith’s Church Gaywood has launched a Pots of Joy and Thanksgiving initiative to celebrate the 50 years of Methodist-Anglican sharing in their community. The initiative is aimed at recognizing and appreciating the love and commitment with which members serve God and each other. Team Rector Rev Kyla Sørensen expressed gratitude for the many volunteers who give their time to the church and community, and encouraged everyone to put a bead in the pot of joy and thanksgiving when they have given their time in any way. Each bead represents one hour of time given in love, and at the end of the year, the beads will be counted and used by the 5th Gaywood Beavers to make special decorations for the church. The initiative has already made a colorful start, and the community is looking forward to seeing the time mount up and sharing thanks for the love and service they have given.
