Norfolk village church brings Word on the Wash 2017

Terrington St Clement Church in West Norfolk is hosting the annual Word on the Wash weekend event in September with Christians from Norfolk, Holland and Fenland joining together in unity for great teaching by the Langham Partnership and Scripture Union.

Word on the Wash is a new Christian event in the annual calendar, associated with Keswick Ministries.

Dreamed about in 2014 and launched in 2015 by Terrington St Clement Church, this family event is a great opportunity for Christians in Norfolk, Fenland and Holland to come together in unity for faithful and relevant bible teaching, worship and encouragement.

This year Word on the Wash will take place on the evening of Friday, September 15, 7pm -8.45pm and Saturday, September 16, 10am – 6pm.  There is programme for children and youth, which runs concurrent to all the main sessions, planned, organised and led by Scripture Union.  The event is free of charge, with donations welcomed.

John Wallis, Chair of the Planning Team for the event said: “Word on the Wash is an event for churches of all backgrounds and sizes with a programme for all ages and stages of Christian understanding. This year the work of Langham Partnership and Scripture Union is being represented by guest speakers Dr Chris Wright and Rev Tim Hastie-Smith as we explore “Your place in God’s story.””

Dr Chris Wright is the International Director of the Langham Partnership International, a group of ministries originally founded by John Stott, committed to the strengthening of the church in the Majority World through fostering leadership development, biblical preaching, literature and doctoral scholarships.  Rev Tim Hastle-Smith is the National Director of the Scripture Union.
