Join in the joyful dancing at King’s Lynn Celebrate

Celebrate King’s Lynn are inviting people of all ages and abilities to join the large scale dance routines at the Christian-run family and community fun day on June 3 and to come along to practice sessions starting this month.
Celebrate King’s Lynn are looking for volunteers who would like to join the dance routines at the town-wide free family fun day put on by the town’s churches as a blessing to the local community.
With a backdrop of live music from local bands as well as inflatables, activities, displays and stalls there is always something to keep visitors and passing families entertained at the event in The Walks, to be held on Saturday, June 3, 10am-4pm.
Alison Hill, the Organiser of Celebrate King’s Lynn said: “This year Adrian Hill, a Sports and Dance Aerobics Instructor for schools in Lincolnshire, has kindly offered three evenings to practice the dances.
“The Celebrate team would like the stage to be full of fun for all of the family so we are happy for all ages to attend the dance practices. We would like as many as possible to learn the dances. You will not have to dance on the stage.”
The dance practices will take place on Thursday, March 23, Thursday, April 20 and Thursday, May 25 at 6.30pm – 7.15pm at King’s Lynn Christian Fellowship Centre.
On the same evenings from 7.30pm – 8.15pm there will be a practice of the Flash Mob Dance routine to ‘Every Praise is to Our God’ by Hezekiah Walker which proved very popular at last year’s event.
To practice the dances in advance you can click on the YouTube videos below. The dances will be to the songs, ‘Better When I’m Dancing’ by Meghan Trainor and ‘Waka Waka’ by Shakira.
