The Catholic St Dominic’s and Anglican St Edmund’s parishes in Downham Market in West Norfolk have joined together in a joyful celebration of the life and service of St Dominic on his feast day, August 12.
St Dominic’s invited St Edmund’s to share the celebration of their patronal feast on August 12 and St Edmund’s then welcomed St Dominic’s to celebrate an afternoon Catholic Mass at their parish church where Fr Erico de Mello Falcao delivered the homily. The choirs, from each parish, combined together under the directorship of Oliver Rudland.
Following the Mass, those in attendance took part in a procession to St Dominic’s to celebrate the Anglican Evensong. The day was then completed with a garden party.
