Dancing in the rain and testimonies in King’s Lynn

Manifest music festival was held at The Walks Park in King’s Lynn, featuring performances by artists such as Philippa Hanna, Tough Talk, Faith Child, and Mike Aremu. Despite frequent downpours, the spirits of both the performers and the crowd remained high throughout the event. The festival, organized by The King’s Glory Church as a platform for open-air worship and sharing the gospel, also included various attractions such as food stalls, games for children, and a fun fair.

The day began with a prayer and worship session led by The King’s Glory Church Choir, setting the tone for the event. Singer-songwriter Philippa Hanna, known for her work with artists like Lionel Richie and Leona Lewis, shared her personal journey of overcoming anxiety and depression through faith. She performed uplifting songs about life and faith for the audience, demonstrating the power of music and storytelling to convey a message of hope and redemption.

Tough Talk, a Christian charity focused on sharing the gospel, brought a unique element to the festival with their testimonies and physical demonstrations of strength. Joe Lampshire, a member of Tough Talk, shared his story of turning to Jesus after a dark period involving witchcraft and the occult. Through faith and weightlifting, Joe found healing and success, attributing his achievements to Christ. The audience was invited to participate in weightlifting challenges, emphasizing the theme of strength through faith.

Faith Child, a MOBO award-winning artist, captivated the crowd with his music and inspiring life story. Despite the rain, Faith engaged the audience, encouraging them to dance and embrace the moment. Using his own experiences to connect with the audience, Faith emphasized the message of resilience and purpose in the face of adversity. The festival concluded with saxophonist Mike Aremu leading songs of worship, accompanied by singers from The King’s Glory choir. Despite the unpredictable British weather, Manifest 2024 delivered a day of joy, music, and powerful testimonies for all who attended.
