Balloon praise parties from Norfolk entertainer

Sally Beadle from Crazy Bananas has been telling Network Norfolk about her new balloon based praise party that she is launching in 2016.
“A mixture of balloon mayhem, games and musical madness with a Christian theme” Sally said “it will be themed to suit the season or personalised for the event” she added.
Crazy Bananas was started ten years ago as a children’s entertainment business with Christian values, Sally added “I attended a birthday party with my daughter and they had an entertainer doing a show for these four year old children – he wasn’t pitching it correctly for the age range and the person who booked him told me that there was not a lot out there for young children”.
She went on to say that “a project at a training course I was on was to set up an imaginary business, so I used this knowledge and completed the project to set up a children’s entertainment business. Crazy Banana’s was born and I decided to go for it”.
After Sally moved to Norfolk she was introduced to Kevin Baldwin of the Crowns Trust and Kevin was able to offer her some work at four schools in the area, and ultimately she was taken on as a schools worker for the trust and developed the idea of Bible circus.
Bible Circus is a family run business, with God as the owner, Jesus as the ring master and the Holy Spirit as guide and trainer, and its aim is to reach out to children, families and the wider community using circus skills and balloons. Sally adds, “when we first find God we don’t instantly know everything, we learn from other Christians and build our knowledge and confidence – exactly as a newcomer to the circus would. As well as telling stories from the Bible using circus skills, I draw on many similarities between my faith and circus – for example, each of us finds something difficult about our faith that is daunting, I call this our high wire act, we need to gain our balance and focus on God by keeping our eyes on Him and not looking anywhere else.”
Crazy Bananas and Bible Circus are available for children aged two years and above, and is suitable for all types of parties and events, including churches, schools, youth clubs and holiday clubs – the children get to learn circus skills and how to make balloons that illustrate the stories they read.
In the last twelve months Sally has been fortunate to travel to Albania and take the Bible Circus to a project in Tirana called Spark. Here she was able to teach local volunteers who were then able to provide circus skills and balloon twisting during a community event on national children’s day; as a direct consequence, Sally will be involved in Celebrate King’s Lynn in June this year and she is looking for a team who can learn basic circus skills and ballon twisting.
