Filling Station reopens on Norfolk-Suffolk border

The Angles Way Filling Station has reopened this month after 18 months’ break, having changed its name from Ouse Valley Filling Station.

On September 10 the first event took place under the new name, which more accurately reflects the area where it is based on the Suffolk-Norfolk border, where the rivers Waveney and Little Ouse meander through the countryside with The Angles Way long-distance footpath running close by.

Meetings are designed to help to bring renewal to the existing Christian Church and are open for all to attend, anyone who is interested in learning about Jesus and growing in the Christian faith.

The organisers believe that everyone can experience the powerful presence of God through the Holy Spirit. They wish to work in unity with all local churches. Filling Station meetings are “places where people are taught to worship in Spirit and in truth, where a new community of friendships are established and where God’s truth, love and provision are declared and celebrated”.

The newly reopened meetings are taking place in Garboldisham Village Hall on the second Friday of the month. As the hall is very spacious, face masks will be entirely optional, but people are asked to be respectful of those who may prefer more space around them.

Seating will be arranged so that people can sit together or further apart, as desired. There will be adequate ventilation in the hall, with some windows open, so people may wish to bring an extra layer. It’s hoped that everyone will enjoy the freedom to worship with us after such a long break.

Prayer ministry will be available at every meeting, with sensitivity to an individual’s desire for personal space.

The next meeting is on Friday October 8, and refreshments will be available from 7:15pm. The speaker is Paul Wilkinson from the Fountain of Life Church. Do bring your friends.
