St Seraphim’s celebrates flowers in Walsingham


St Seraphim’s Orthodox Church in Walsingham is running a series of spring and summer events in its beautiful chapel and colourful garden.


Most of the activities will be outdoors, taking advantage of the extensive grounds and giving visitors opportunities to nurture as well as simply enjoy the garden. There is also a railway heritage museum, and there will be regular opportunities for a guided tour of the icons which play a central role in Orthodox worship. 

St Seraphim’s Orthodox Chapel in Walsingham is open daily 9am to 5pm. Forthcoming activities include:

Guided Tours of the Chapel Icons

Wednesdays and Saturdays 2pm, beginning Wednesday 27th April and Saturday 30th April 

 

Bunting Making for the Jubilee Workshop

Wednesday 11th May 2022 – 10.30am to 1pm

Refreshments provided, along with a warm welcome

 

Coffee Morning with Sow and Grow

Wednesday 25th May – 10.30am to 1pm

Sale of plants and seeds, books, bric-a-brac

Come and meet the Gardening Group for wellbeing in the Garden Room

Refreshments and cakes


 

Jubilee Celebration with Railway Display, Open Garden and Refreshments in the Garden Room


Friday 3rd, Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th June – 10am to 4pm 

Annual Garden Party

Saturday 25th June 2022 – 2pm to 4pm

With the Pilgrim Jazz Quartet, stalls, raffle, children’s games.

 

Quiet Garden Group

Last Friday of the month – 10.30am to 2pm

The Quiet Garden Group meets monthly for talks and reflection in the Garden Room

Bring a packed lunch; tea, coffee, squash and biscuits provided

Every Monday – 10.30am to 1pm

New members always warmly welcomed!

Tools and refreshments provided
