Inspiring art exhibition in Salthouse Church
A group of Christian artists known as ‘The Salthouse’ will be holding an art exhibition at St Nicholas Church in Salthouse next month. The exhibition will feature the work of eight artists who work in various media, including paintings, glass, textiles, sound, and poetry. These artists draw inspiration from the belief that they are all creative beings made in the image of a loving Creator. The exhibition aims to not only showcase the artists’ work but also to create a space for visitors to find peace and wonder within the church’s serene surroundings.
St Nicholas Church, located in Church Lane off Cross Street in Salthouse, is a place known for its tranquil atmosphere and beautiful surroundings. The group of artists participating in the exhibition includes Charlotte Ashenden, Emma Blount, Ian Dyble, Charlotte Harmer, Tracey Ross, Cecilia Tyrrell, Sue Walsh, and Terri Watkin. Rev Ian Dyble, who is also the vicar of Salthouse, expresses his joy at being able to exhibit his artwork in such a special place, hoping that visitors will not only appreciate the art but also feel a sense of wonder and connection to something greater.
Organizer Tracey Ross is excited about the upcoming exhibition, which will feature a diverse range of artistic expressions that blend creativity with faith. The artists will be offering their original works for sale, as well as prints and cards for those interested in bringing a piece of the exhibition home. The exhibition will run from 13 to 28 April, with an Evening Preview on Friday 12 April from 5.00pm to 8.00pm. The church will be open daily from 10.00am to 4.00pm, providing visitors with ample opportunities to explore the artwork and immerse themselves in the creative energy of the space.
