The home-grown worship nights in Dereham have been happening every two weeks since September 2023, but this larger gathering led by Joel and Elyssa is set to take place on August 31 at 7pm at St. Nicholas Church. Elyssa is known for her song, “Surrounded (Fight my Battles),” and has been recognized with nominations for a Grammy and Best Worship Song of the Year at the Dove Awards. Joel and Elyssa, who were married in April, have been involved with leading worship at UPPERROOM in Dallas for many years.
UPPERROOM in Texas started as a small group of people praying at a vet clinic over 14 years ago, and has since grown to impact the world with its music and ministry. Last year alone, UPPERROOM received over 5 million views on YouTube, with half of the viewers being under the age of 34. Joel and Elyssa’s music has resonated with people of all ages globally.
