This British city hates Christmas and wants to CANCEL it – so can you guess where it is?

WITH Christmas fast approaching, most are looking forward to the festive season – but not the residents of one city where many say they “hate” Christmas.

A nationwide study has found that more than one in ten of Norwich residents claim they actually hate Christmas, despite the city playing host to seven Christmas markets this year.

And a shocking 46% of Scrooge-like Brits feel that the magic of Christmas has vanished.

Nottingham was a close second to Norwich in the bah-humbag states, with 10% saying they hate the festive season, and Leeds joining them in third place.

Edinburgh, Manchester and Canterbury are also among those receiving the accolade of Britain’s most Grinch-like cities.

The inhabitants of Peterborough though, are rival only to Santa in their enthusiasm for Christmas, with 60% of people from the city saying that Christmas is the most magical time of the year.

Only 3% said they dislike the season.

Peterborough holds a Christmas market every year by the historic Cathedral.

Londoners and the residents of Derby are also full of Christmas cheer, according to the survey results.

Touchingly, over half of those surveyed by family owned jeweller Beaverbrooks said the best thing about Christmas is spending time with friends and family.

But despite this, 16% of Brits replied that they would like nothing more than to cancel the festive season altogether.
