Teen stabbed to death in Norwich as armed cops rush to scene and man and woman, in 40s and 30s, are arrested
A MURDER probe was launched last night after a teenager was stabbed, with armed cops racing to the scene.
Police held a man in his 40s and a woman in her 30s after the attack, which took place shortly before 7pm in Norwich, Norfolk.
Despite treatment by paramedics, he was pronounced dead at the scene. His next of kin have been informed, cops said.
The female suspect was taken to Great Yarmouth Police Investigation Centre and the man was taken to Wymondham Police Investigation Centre.
They are due to be questioned by cops.
Detective Chief Inspector Dave Freeman said: “A number of police resources, including armed units, were deployed to the scene.
“A murder investigation has been launched and we are in the early stages of our enquiries to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident.
“We would like to hear from anyone who may witnessed the incident or has information concerning it.”
Police have cordoned off the scene in Vale Green while enquiries are carried out.
Anyone with information should contact Norfolk Police on 101 quoting Incident 376 of today’s date (January 28).
It comes after a 15-year-old boy was been rushed to hospital after being stabbed multiple times inside of a school.
A second teenager was arrested in connection with the attack on the 15-year-old at Walney School, in Cumbria on Tuesday.
He was taken to Alder Hey Children’s Hospital in Liverpool by air ambulance.
Cumbria Police arrested a 16-year-old boy at Barrow train station on suspicion of grievous bodily harm.
