He says he became a millionaire at the age of just 24 after setting up a digital marketing agency Affluent.co – having departed uni in disgrace just a year earlier.

The Norfolk entrepreneur was thrown out for poor attendance, after spending much of his time as an architecture student launching nightclub events which failed to take off.

He has said in a YouTube video: “I felt pressure to continue education but I felt resistance myself.

“I realised in my first year of uni I was going to have to train for seven years to get a £30k-a-year salary and that for me was crazy – I lost a love of the subject.

“I was partying, I was escaping uni and just enjoying that side of things – I started doing PR on the streets for nightclubs.

“I got the contract to start this events business – I was doing that four nights a week and stopped attending lectures so much and it’s at that point I was kicked out.”

He then took up various sales jobs including working in call centres as well as going door-to-door.

But he found success after branching out on his own, founding a marketing and e-learning business specialising in social media advertising.

The company has now generated revenues of £59million, the Star reports.

Jordan, who has more than 243,000 subscribers on YouTube as well as almost 40,000 Instagram followers, teaches would-be entrepreneurs on how to build their own marketing agencies.

And he believes four key principles are essential to follow.

He said: “When people ask for my advice, you don’t need to build the next Uber or Airbnb to find success.”

Jordan, 29, has encouraged people to “start with a proven model” – saying many thriving firms are “simply variations on existing models”.

He also insists “consistency is key”, urging tirelessly hard work.

Jordan says workers must be “ready to show up every day, put in the work, and constantly seek to improve”.

He also warned they should “embrace resilience”, responding to any failures as “opportunities for growth”.

And he told aspiring business owners they must be prepared to “make sacrifices”, adding: “Wake up early, say no to Saturday nights out and distance yourself from nay-sayers.

“Trust me – when you see your business thriving, you’ll realise it was all worth it.”
