Charlotte Steven, a trained sports massage therapist from City College Norwich, quickly began offering her services at Top 2 Toe in Middleton Crescent, Costessey after completing her course. Recently, Charlotte had an opportunity that she had only dreamed of when the current owner of Top 2 Toe announced she was leaving and selling the business. Charlotte saw this as the perfect opportunity to fulfill her dream of owning a salon and went for it. She plans to bring a new name, look, and feel to the salon with a focus on offering a botanical, urban, and cozy feeling with a friendly face.
Charlotte’s new venture at the salon, called CHAR Body Care and Cosmetics, will be different from the average salon, with a focus on well-being as well as beauty. She plans to continue offering hairdressing, beauty therapy, and sports massage, and hopes to add a nail technician and holistic therapies to the services. Charlotte’s vision for the salon is to be about more than just beauty – she wants to help people feel well, safe, and comfortable and give them confidence. The salon will be changing hands on December 14 and will go through a renovation period to transform it into Charlotte’s dream space, with plans to open to the public at the end of January.
Charlotte aims to continue to bring a friendly and welcoming vibe to her customers in the Costessey community, which she recognizes has been home to Top 2 Toe for around 25 years. She is optimistic about the business prospects in the community and hopes to offer a unique and supportive environment that goes beyond beauty and focuses on well-being. Charlotte is excited to make her dream of owning a salon a reality and is looking forward to the next chapter in her career.
