Norwich cafe Tofurei unveils spooky biscuits for Halloween
Tofurei, a popular bakery known for its vegan pastries and locally sourced tofu, has caught the attention of the city with its latest creations. Owner Jenny Coupland has recently introduced biscuits and pies with haunting faces just in time for Halloween. The idea came about when Coupland had some leftover dough and decided to bake it as a round biscuit instead of wasting it. She then added eyes, a mouth, and teeth to create the spooky treats. Customers have been enjoying the unusual and creepy faces, and staff have been amused by their reactions. The Halloween treats will be available until October 31, and special requests can be made for those who want to indulge in the spooky spirit year-round. In addition to the biscuits and pies, Tofurei will also be offering The Spice Ghouls, an Autumn-spiced ghost brownie, skull-inspired chocolate cakes, and cursed cherry and custard pies, promising a “spectre-cle” over the Halloween week.
