At the 2023 UK Bus Awards, the company was named Top Independent Bus Operator, as well as receiving a bronze award for the overall UK Bus Operator of the Year. This recognition comes as a result of the company’s dedication to enriching the customer experience through the relaunch of its X55 service in January of this year. Formed in 1975 by Norman and Gladys Sanders, the business is now owned by their sons Paul and Charles Sanders and operates a fleet of around 90 coaches.

In addition to the awards, Sanders Coaches has invested in 23 brand new vehicles over the past three years, with an ongoing replacement of older members of the fleet to further improve the customer experience. Sanders Coaches employs over 120 local people at its North Walsham and Holt locations, covering a variety of roles from cleaning to management.
